Guangdong Raises Minimum Wages

On 26 November 2021, the Government of Guangdong Province released a circular on its official website, announcing that Guangdong Province will raise its minimum wage standards from 1 December 2021. The new minimum wage standards after adjustment are as follows:

New Minimum Wage Standards in Guangdong Province

Note:

The monthly minimum wage is for full-time employment while the hourly minimum wage is for part-time employment.
The minimum wage does not cover the overtime payments, allowances or other benefits set by the laws and regulations.
The new minimum wage standards take effect from 1 December 2021(except Shenzhen). Shenzhen will implement the new minimum wage standards from 1 January 2022.
