Guangdong Raises Minimum Wages

On 26 November 2021, the Government of Guangdong Province released a circular on its official website, announcing that Guangdong Province will raise its minimum wage standards from 1 December 2021. The new minimum wage standards after adjustment are as follows:

Note:
  1. The monthly minimum wage is for full-time employment while the hourly minimum wage is for part-time employment.
  2. The minimum wage does not cover the overtime payments, allowances or other benefits set by the laws and regulations.
  3. The new minimum wage standards take effect from 1 December 2021(except Shenzhen). Shenzhen will implement the new minimum wage standards from 1 January 2022.
