(1) Citizens from Mainland China

For citizens from Mainland China who intend to apply for the stay or residency within the territory of Taiwan, the guarantor shall be the member of immediate family (such as spouse or children) or the second-degree relative with the household registration in Taiwan. In the circumstance of applicants without immediate family or second-degree relative (such as brothers, sisters, or parent) within the territory of Taiwan to be the guarantor, or the guarantor who cannot carry out the responsibility of guarantee and without any second-degree relative, the guarantor can be assigned to a person with the legal job and household registration and residency in Taiwan. The number of guarantees for the same guarantor shall not be exceeded than 3 persons.

(2) Citizens from Hong Kong and Macau

For citizens from Hong Kong or Macau who intend to apply for the stay or residency within the territory of Taiwan, the guarantor can be assigned to a person with the legal job and household registration and residency in Taiwan.

(1) The guarantor shall submit the guarantee form with his/her personal signature to Taiwan Immigration Agency for verification;
(2) The guarantee shall change the application within one month in the condition that the guarantor cannot carry out the responsibility of guarantee before the household registration of guarantee is finished. If such application is not changed within the prescribed period, the approval shall be annulled;
(3) In the condition that the guarantor fails to carry out their responsibility or make a false guarantee, Taiwan government will depend on the actual situation to prohibit such person to be the guarantor on behalf of the guarantees from Mainland China to enter the territory of Taiwan, be the guarantor, be visited, or be the subject of being visited by the cause of sick or reunion within one to three years;
(4) For professionals from Mainland China to visit Taiwan by cases, the guarantor shall submit the guarantee form with his/her personal signature and the stamp from invitation party and the copy of registers to Immigration Agency for verification;
(5) Citizens from Mainland China who visit Taiwan for the sake of business activity shall submit the guarantee form with the stamp of company and its responsible person.
