1. Basic social insurance benefits will be affeted
   
   

   (1)	Unable to enjoy medical insurance benefits Shenzhen resident will be unable to enjoy medical benefits from the next month after stopping payment of social insurance.The accumulated payment period will be regarded as zero if stop the payment over 3 months,  which also will affect the amount of hospitalization reimbursement.
   (2)	Unable to enjoy maternity insurance benefits Maternity insurance refers to medical allowance offered to female employees during their preganent period as well as after childbirth, which shall be enjoyed after a full year payment of  social insurance. Female employees are not allowed to enjoy the maternity insurance benefits if they fail to make one consecutive year of social insurance payment before delivery.
   (3)	Individuals are not allowed to enjoty severe disease & employment injury insurance benefits if stop the payment of social insurance.

   
   
2. Qualification of house purchase will be affeted
   
   Non-Shenzhen resident is required to pay 5 consecutive years of social insurance without interruption to buy a house in Shenzhen, otherwise the payment period calculation will start over again.
   
   
3. Qualification of vechicle purchase will be affeted
   
   To apply for a car license plate, non-Shenzhen resident not only need to have a valid residence permit of Shenzhen, but also need to pay social insurance for 2 consecutive years(supplementary payment excluded) in Shenzhen.
   
   
4. Qualification of Shenzhen residence / household application will be affeted
   
   One of the requirements for Shenzhen residence application is that individuals shall have Shenzhen social insurance and it is in normal state; If their children is non-Shenzhen residents and plan to take colleage entrance examination in Shenzhen, the individuals shall have the record of paying Shenzhen social insurance for 3 consecutive years.
   
   
5. Qualification of public rental housing application will be affeted
   
   Non-Shenzhen resident is required to have the record of paying Shenzhen social insurance for the last 3 consecutive years to apply for public rental housing.
   
   
6. Qualification of government subsidized housing application will be affeted
   
   Non-Shenzhen resident is required to have the record of paying Shenzhen social insurance for the last 5 consecutive years to apply for government subsidized housing.
   
   
7. Qualification of primary school & junior high school enrolment application will be affeted
   
   The payment period of Shenzhen social insurance is one of the factors for Shenzhen school enrolment application. The parents of non-Shenzhen resident can get relevant points if have paid Shenzhen social insurance for one consecutive year and remains valid when they submit the school enrolment application
