Survivor Qualification:

For spouses, one of the following conditions must be met:

A. At least 55 years old, with the marital relationship lasting more than 1 year.
B. At least 45 years old, with the material relationship lasting more than 1 year, and the monthly work income does not exceed the first level of the insured salary classification table.

For children, one of the following conditions must be met:

Underage, incapable of earning a living, below 25 years old, enrolled in school, and the monthly work income does not exceed the first level of the insured salary classification table.

For others such as grandparents, grandchildren, or siblings, they must meet the qualification criteria set by the Labor Insurance Bureau.

The payment standard is as follows:

Average monthly insured salary x years of coverage x 1.55%.

A minimum guarantee of NT$3,000.

When there are more than two survivors of the same order, an additional 25% is added for each additional person, up to a maximum of 50%.

If the insured has either “cancelled their insurance and pass away while receiving an old-age pension benefit or a permanent disability pension or “has at least 15 years of insurance contributions and meets the conditions for the old-age benefits under Taiwan’s old system but pass away before claiming the old-age benefits.” then the eligible survivors may claim the Survivor Annuity.
The payment standard is as follows:

50% of the amount calculated according to the permanent disability pension or old-age pension benefit standards.
