Introduction on Extending Working Hours of the Municipal Service Centre

According to unified deployment in Beijing, since September 2020, nearly 500 service halls for corporate affairs in Beijing have all adopted extending working hours services, and corporate staff can start online, telephone and on-site appointments.

As early as February 2020, in response to the needs of enterprises and the requirements of epidemic prevention and control, the municipal service centres in Beijing has begun to provide Uninterrupted Noon Services for enterprise during the legal working day; in August 2020, enterprise Flexible Morning and Evening Services by extending services for no less than half an hour in the morning and evening have been provided.

Now, to facilitate enterprise affairs, the municipal service centres has implemented Saturday extending working hours services from September 26, 2020 based on the Flexible Morning and Evening and Uninterrupted Noon extending working hours services that have been implemented in the early stage. The service time is from 9:00 to 13:00 every Saturday (unless it is statutory public holiday). The counter is located on Island C on the first floor of the Municipal Service Centre (No. 1, West Third Ring South) and the service scope is for all the services handled in the municipal service centre, except for matters that applied in the national examination and approval system and are not open to the public and have a designated processing time. There is no restriction on the number of reservations. Staff will be arranged according to the number of people who make appointments.

Up to now, more than 430 service halls in Beijing have fully implemented the extending working hours services of Flexible Morning and Evening, Uninterrupted Noon and No Rest on Saturday. Among them, the Shijingshan District Government took the lead in expanding the working hours service time in Beijing. Besides extending working hours service on Saturday, the district government service centre and the sub-district government service centre fully launched measures for service reservation every Sunday to further satisfy the residents’ needs in the jurisdiction on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday extended service was officially launched on December 13, 2020.
