What should I do if I have more than one office location or shop of my company in Hong Kong? |

In accordance with the Hong Kong Business Registration Ordinance, the Hong Kong company required to display a valid Business Registration Certificate at every place of business. If a Hong Kong company has more than one presence such as offices or shops, it is required to register Branch Office of each address by applying a branch business registration certificate (“Branch BR”). The company shall have one Main Office and several Branch Offices. Also, if you wish to register more than one business name, you should register each business name separately by applying Branch BR. |

How to apply for a Branch BR? |

Branch BR can be applied from Business Registration Office of Inland Revenue Department by filing specified form with fee. |

What is the fee for the Branch Office registration? |

The government fee of Branch BR is HK$250 which subject to adjustment or wavier. Kaizen can provide the service of Branch Office registration package with annual address service. |

Do I need to notify Companies Registry for opening or closing of branch office? |

No. It is no need to notify Companies Registry for opening or closing of branch office, but the business name of each branch office should be shown in Annual Return filing in every year. |

When is the renewal date of the branch office? |

The validity period of the Branch BR is same as the Main BR which will be ended on the anniversary date of the Company unless it selected valid for 3 years. |

How to renew the Branch BR? |

The renewal of Branch BR is separate handling from the Main BR. The demand note will be sent to the address within one month before it expired. The payment of Business Registration Certificate fee can be made via Internet or by person. You can also pay the fee together with the address fee to us if engaging our services. |

Is there any penalty for fail to renew the Branch BR? |

Other than the late penalty which is HK$300, the person fails to obtain a valid Business Registration Certificate shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of $5,000 and to imprisonment for 1 year. |
