How to register as an import/export business?
A:
To register as an import/export business, please visit the Bureau of Trade website (http://www.trade.gov.tw), go to the “Services” section, choose “Exporter/Importer Registration”, and click on “New registration” or “change of registration”, fill in the relevant information and submit. Once your application is reviewed and approved by the bureau, the registration process is complete.

Is it necessary to apply for changes to import/export business information?
A:
Yes, applications are required for changes to the English name, phone, fax, whether to publicly disclose performance levels and CCC Code, registration data, website, email, and product items.

Companies or firms, unless otherwise prohibited or restricted by law, can register as import/export businesses with the Trade Bureau according to the import/export business registration procedures, and operate import and export activities.

A: A Certificate of Origin is a document that certifies the place of manufacture of goods. It is generally applied for after customs clearance for export and is often required for private trade transactions.

Do the goods I import necessarily need to have a country-of-origin label?
