Q:
How about non-Hong Kong Company? Will my non-Hong Kong company be affected under Phase 2 of the new inspection regime?
A:
Yes, it also appliable to non-Hong Kong Company. Usual residential address and full identification numbers (“Protected Information”) on the Index of Directors on the Companies Registry will be replaced with correspondence address and partial identification numbers for public inspection.

Q:
How about the address of the authorised representative of non-Hong Kong company under Phase 2 of the new inspection regime?
A:
Under Phase 2 of the new inspection regime, the principal place of business of non-Hong Kong company will not be regarded as the address of the authorized representative because the residential address of the authorized representative is not required to be reported to the Companies Registry.

Q:
As a director, can I still use my residential address as my correspondence address?
A:
Yes, you can still use your residential address as your correspondence address and you have to report such change to Companies Registry. How about corporate director? Will the address of corporate director be replaced with correspondence address under Phase 2 of the new inspection regime?
A: No, the address of corporate director will not be replaced with correspondence address under Phase 2 of the new inspection regime.

Q:
If my company's annual return date is before 24 October 2022, do I need to submit the old version of the form with Companies Registry?
A: It depends on when you can submit the form to Companies Registry for registration. Any filing on or after 24 October 2022 need to use the revised form for registration.

Q:
Is there any transitional arrangement for submission of the old version of the specified forms to Companies Registry for registration?
A:
No, there is no transitional arrangement provided by Companies Registry. You must use the revised specified forms for registration on or after 24 October 2022.
