Who is eligible to apply for DP for their family members?

You can apply for a DP for your family members if you meet these requirements:
1.

Hold an EP, SP, PEP or EntrePass;
|
2.
|
Earn a minimum fixed monthly salary of SGD6,000 for EP and SP holder. This is based on the salary of EP or SP holder, and not based on the work pass holder’s combined household income;
|
3.
|
Are sponsored by an established, Singapore-registered company (usually your employer) for EP and SP holder; and
|
4.
|
For EntrePass holder, you can only bring your family in if you meet the requirements for total annual business spending and local employments.

Can a DP holder work in Singapore?

Dependants of EP, PEP or EntrePass holders can get a Letter of Consent from Ministry of Manpower (“MOM”) to work in Singapore if they find a job here. While, the Dependants of S Pass holders will need to apply for a Work Permit, SP or EP instead. They will have to meet the eligibility criteria for these passes.

How long does it take to process DP application?

For Dependants of EP and SP holders, it takes up to three (3) weeks for most cases. For Dependants of EP (Sponsorship), PEP or EntrePass holders, it takes up to eight (8) weeks for most cases. If MOM requires additional documents or clarification, it may take a longer time.

What is the duration of a DP?

The duration of the DP is up to two (2) years, tied to the validity of the main work pass. The pass can be renewed before the expiry date.
