Thailand Trademark Registration Costs and Registration Procedures |
Unless otherwise indicated, the Thailand Trademark Registration stated in this quotation refers to trademark registrations in accordance with the Trade Marks Act B.E.2534. All fees in this quotation are valid until 30 June 2025.
The legal basis of Thailand's trademark is the Trade Marks Act B.E.2534. Thailand is a member of the Paris Convention. Thailand adopts first-to-file basis for trademark protection. Trademark registration is valid for 10 years from the date of application and could be renewed for 10 years before the expiry date.
Our fees for filing an application up to registration (smooth case) in Thailand are USD810 (HKD6,399) for the first class and USD680 (HKD5,372) for each additional class. The fees cover 5 goods/services per class. The fee for registration is USD$380 (HK$3,002)( within 5 goods/services) for the first class and USD330 (HKD2,607) (within 5 goods/services) for the additional class.
For the purpose of registering a trademark in Thailand, you will need to provide some basic infor-mation of the proprietor (individual or company), such as the full name, address, nationality and a orig-inal Power of Attorney signed by the applicant and notarized before a Notary Public in applicant’s country. You are also requested to select the goods/services for each class.
A registration in Thailand usually takes 12-18 months from the date of filing the application which in-cludes 2 months of Publication for the Opposition period.
If the application is being rejected by the Department of Intellectual Property (DIP) or opposed by any third party, Kaizen can help to response to the rejection or opposition and our fees will be quoted upon request.
DIP will issue the paper Certificate of Registration for the registrations.

6. | Payment Term and Payment Method |
Upon receipt of your confirmation of engagement, we will issue and send an invoice together with the wiring instructions to you for your settlement. When you arrange the payment, please put our invoice number of account number in the message section and then send email a copy of the re-mittance receipt to us for our records. Because of the nature of service, we require full payment in advance. And once the service is commenced, no refund of service fee will be made. |
7. | Refund Policy |
No refund of fees will be made after the commencement of services. For example, if we have conducted a pre-filing search and found an identical mark is already in the register, the application will not be processed, and the fees for the pre-filing search will not be refunded. If we have al-ready filed an application and the application is refused or objected by DIP or any other party, there will be no refund of fees. |
