The State Council released the “Circular on Part of the Holiday Arrangement in 2017?on December 1, 2016. According to the above Circular, the official holidays for year 2017 are scheduled as follows:

 

1.  New Year's Day

 

January 1 (one day off in total)

As January 1 is Sunday, the following Monday of January 2 will become a public holiday.

 

 

2.  Spring Festival (Chinese New Year)

 

January 27- February 2 (seven days off in total)

January 22 (Sunday) and February 4 (Saturday) are adjusted as official working days.

 

3.  Qingming Festival

 

April 2 - 4(three day off in total)

April 1 (Saturday) is adjusted as an official working day.

 

4.  Labour Day

 

May 1 (one day off in total)

 

5.  Dragon Boat Festival

 

May 28-30 (three days off in total)

May 27  (Saturday) is adjusted as an official working day.

 

6.  Mid-autumn Festival & National Day

 

October 1-8 (eight days off in total)

September 30 (Saturday) is adjusted as an official working day.
