China Lifted the Travel restriction on March 15th, 2023
Due to the influence on Covid, China issued many regulations on adjustment of entry and exit and announced that the visa issued before March 28th, 2020 is no longer available for entry in China, disrupting the travel plan for many international travellers. In January 2023, China gradually lifted the restriction on its visa and regulation on entry. On March 15th, 2023 (Beijing time), the Chinese visa and regulation on entry and exit had major changes. The Changes could refer to the following details:

Resume the entry for valid visa issued before March 28th, 2020

Resume all kinds of Chinese visa application

Resume the portal visa application

Resume the visa wavier for Hainan entry, Shanghai cruise
liners, foreigners from Hong Kong and Macao travel to Guangdong for tourist
group, ASEAN tourist groups entering Guilin in Guangxi

China gradually resumed the visa service, including tourist visa, portal visa and visa waiver. The detail could consult with the local Chinese consulate or embassy. Until now, many Chinese consulates and embassies have already issued the notice, such as Bahamas, France, USA, New Zeeland, and Dubai. Many consulates and embassies would gradually release the new ones in the future.
