Resumption of normal travel between Hong Kong and Mainland
effective from 8 January 2023
The Government announced that
starting on 8 January 2023, the normal travel of persons between Hong Kong and the Mainland will be resumed. People will be allowed to travel to and from Hong Kong and the mainland via seven land, air and sea control points subject to the change of daily quota. Persons travelling between Hong Kong and the Mainland will not need to quarantine and undergo a COVID-19 test after arrival but will be required to provide a negative COVID-19 test result taken within 48 hours before travelling.
