Vietnam Report on Employment of Foreign Workers
According to Decree On Foreign Workers in Vietnam and Recruitment and Management of Vietnamese Workers Working for Foreign Organizations and Individuals in Vietnam (hereinafter referred to as Decree 152/2020/ND-CP), which issued by the Vietnamese government on 30 December 2020 and came into force from 15 February 2021, the employers in Vietnam shall submit a report explaining the need to employ foreigners to the competent authority at least 30 days before recruiting the foreigners to work in Vietnam and a half yearly report and an annual report on the employment of foreign workers shall be submitted to the competent authority on time as well.
Employers of foreigners in Vietnam should complete and submit reports on time, otherwise they may be subject to administrative fines. The timeline for submitting the reports as set by Decree 152/2020/ND-CP are as follows:

Half Yearly Report: shall be submitted by July 5 and the reporting period of the first 6 months is from December 15 of the previous reporting year to June 14 of the reporting year.

Annual Report: shall be submitted by January 5 and the reporting period of the annual report is from December 15 of the previous reporting year to December 14 of the reporting year.
The report on the employment of foreign workers shall include but not limited to the following information:

The nationality of each foreign worker.

The total number of foreign workers.

The number of foreign workers who have joined the company in the preceding six months and their average salary.

The total number of foreign workers within the organization, regardless of when they joined the company, and their position.

Whether their work permit is new, has been renewed or reissued, or if their work permit was declined or revoked.
