Entrepreneur Visa is able to be applied for in the name of individual or group, but be applied for in one individual’s qualification as following:

The amount of investment of venture capital or global fundraising is more than NT$2,000,000.
|

2.
|
Approval of entering the innovation startup space or innovation incubation center in Taiwan. The proof of approval from the said institutions is required to present.
|
|
3.
|
The certificate of rights of patent or professional skills.
|
|
4.
|
An award recipient from a reputational startup or contest of design, or a participant of a project plan for foreigners to start up a company in Taiwan.
|
|
5.
|
Nominee or award recipient of an influential film festival for such business or responsible person.
|
|
6.
|
The amount of assistance for promoting innovation startup from Taiwan government is more than NT$2,000,000, or from local government is more than NT$1,000,000.

7.
|
The innovative ability is approved or recommended by Taiwan government.
|
|
8.
|
A responsible person, manager, or supervisor of an innovation venture in Taiwan invested the amount of capital more than NT$1,000,000.

How to apply for Entrepreneur Visa in abroad?

Foreign applicants outside of Taiwan shall submit the application documents to the local embassy of Taiwan; applicants from Hong Kong and Macau outside of Taiwan shall submit the application documents to Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Hong Kong and Macau.

The applicant with one of the following conditions is able to apply for the extension to Ministry of Interior with the corresponsive required documents to qualified applicants. Such application will be handed over to Investment Board, Ministry of Economic Affairs for further evaluation. Each period of extension shall not be over 2 years.

The average revenue is more than NT$3,000,000 in recent 1 year or 3 years.

2.
|
The average operating expense is more than NT$1,000,000 in recent 1 year or 3 years.
|
|
3.
|
The number of Taiwanese employees is more than 3 persons.
|
|
4.
|
Other feats of operation, which contribution is positive to the economic development, is recognized by the competent authorities in charge of such affairs.

In the circumstance of failure of the above first 3 conditions, the applicant can submit contracts with other cooperative firms or orders to prove the potential target is possible and for further evaluation and discussion in Investment Board, Ministry of Economic Affairs to decide whether such extension is approved or not.
