Q: Does small street vendor need to apply for business registration?
A: In accordance with Business Registration Act Article 5, the following small-sized businesses shall be exempted from registration in accordance with this Act:
1. Vendors.
2. Family agriculture, forestry, fishery, animal husbandry businesses.
3. Family handiwork businesses.
4. Lodging businesses.
5. Businesses who's amount of sales per month does not reach the minimum taxable sales.
Therefore, street vendors are exempted from business registration. As for vendor operating licenses, please contact respective country or city governments.

Q:
How to apply for business registration if I run an online shop?
A:
An online shop refers to selling goods through internet or virtual platforms. Online marketing, direct marketing or online shop are considered as a kind of marketing channels. Therefore, business registration should be the same as ordinary shops, depending on the business items that it involved. If the busines is run without an actual store, such as selling goods by mail, broadcast, television, internet or other kinds of electronic medium, shall also register for item “F399040 No Storefront Retail”.

Q:
How much capital should I set? Would the amount affect loan application in the future?
A:
So far, there is no limitation for the minimum capital, so it does not matter for the amount. However, according to the government start-up loans for youth entrepreneur, the loan for the first time usually would not exceed the capital. Banks would try to understand the actual need of the business by field investigation.

Q:
Can a sole proprietorship or partnership business be changed to a company?
A:
A company is established under the Company Act while a sole proprietorship or partnership business is established under the Business Registration Act. As the two are established in accordance with different Acts, it is not possible to change in between.

Q:
How to establish a trading company in order to sell imported or exported goods?
A:
Firstly, you have to apply for company registration. Then, apply for importer and exporter registration with Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA.
