Employers are limited by a quota for their industry and have to pay a monthly levy for each worker.

The company must buy and maintain medical insurance for the WP holders. The insurance coverage must be at least S$15,000.00 per year and cover inpatient care and day surgery, including hospital bills for conditions that may not be work related.

The application takes up to one (1) week to be processed for most cases. It may take longer when additional documents are required by the Ministry of Manpower (“MOM”).
