Q: What is the corporate seal?
A: The corporate seal refers to the official seals used by a company in Taiwan, including both the company’s seal and the seal of the responsible person.

Q: If there are any changes in the company, can we use other methods instead of corporate seal?
A: No, it must be the seal that registered with the competent authority. If the seal is lost or changed, an application for seal change must first be submitted to the competent authority.

Q: Does the seal retained by the bank need to be the same as the one registered with the competent authority?
A: No, the seal retained by the bank can be different from the one registered with the competent authority.

Q: When is it necessary to change the corporate seal?
A: Besides the loss of the seal or changes in its design, the corporate seal needs to be changed when there is a change in the company name or the responsible person.

Q: What should be done if a corporate seal is lost?
A: To change the company (or responsible person) seal, the application form must be stamped with the new company and responsible person seals. Additionally, an imprint card (or a loss declaration) and two copies of the registration form should be submitted to apply for the change of the company (or responsible person) seal with the competent authority. This process does not require a fee.
