Taiwan Dependent Application Procedures and Fees for Foreigner
This quotation applies to foreign spouses, underage children (under 18 years old), and adult who unable to live independently due to physical or mental disabilities applying for Taiwan Resident Visa and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC). It does not apply to residents of Hong Kong, Macao, or Mainland China applying for Taiwan ARC.

Taiwan Resident Visa and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) Application Service Fees
Our company charges a service fee of USD250 per person for handling Taiwan Resident Visa, and the same fee applies for ARC. The service includes the following:

Provide professional consultation for Taiwan Resident Visa and ARC application;

(2)
|
Assist clients in preparing the documents required for application;
|
(3)
|
Review the application documents provided by clients;
|
(4)
|
Prepare relevant application forms and drafting documents;
|
(5)
|
Submit visa application documents to the immigration agency in Taiwan;
|
(6)
|
Communicate during the application process at the immigration agency;
|
(7)
|
Accompany the collection of Taiwan Resident Visa and ARC.

Our service fees do not include government fees, document translation fees, notarization fees, or document courier fees.

|
If the applicant needs to apply for a residence visa abroad, the handling fee may be adjusted based on the region.

Eligibility Criteria for Foreign Applicants
(1)
|
The relative in Taiwan must either be a resident with a registered household, a stateless national permitted to reside in Taiwan, or a foreign national holding a Taiwan work permit; and

(2)
|
The applicant must be a direct blood relative of the relative in Taiwan, including foreign spouses, underage children (under 18 years old), and adult who are unable to live independently due to physical or mental disabilities.

Application Processing Time
The processing time for individual applications for Taiwan resident visa and Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) ranges from 2 -3 weeks. However, the actual timeline may vary depending on the specifics of each case.

Validity of Dependent Alien Resident Certificate (ARC)
The validity of a dependent residency permit ranges from 1 – 3 years, with a maximum of 3 years, as determined by the Taiwan Immigration Agency based on the visa duration of the relative in Taiwan. Extensions can be applied for before expiry, with each extension period lasting up to three years.

Required Documents and Information for Taiwan Resident Visa and ARC Applications
(1)

Original and copy of the foreign national’s passport (the original will be returned after verification);
|
(2)
|
Original and copy of a health examination certificate that meets the requirements set by the Taiwanese health authorities for residence or settlement (valid within three months. Children under 6 years old are exempt);

(3)
|
Original and copy of marriage certificate, with a Chinese and English translation, and verified by a Taiwanese diplomatic office abroad;
|
(4)
|
Original and copy of the residency document issued by the Taiwan National Immigration Agency to the relative, such as a foreign national residency certificate, permanent residency card in Taiwan, Alien Resident Certificate (ARC), or proof of legal residency for stateless nationals in Taiwan;
|
(5)
|
Two 2-inch colour passport photos and the digital files, taken within the last 6 months;
|
(6)
|
Original and copy of the birth certificate with the full names of the parents (must include a Chinese or English translation and be verified by a Taiwanese diplomatic office abroad);
|
(7)
|
Other documents required on a case by-case basis.
