Vietnam Raises Statutory Minimum Wage from 2026

Vietnam Raises Statutory Minimum Wage from 2026

According to Decree No. 293/2025/ND-CP issued by Vietnam government on 10 November 2025, the statutory minimum wage will be increased from 1 January 2026. The statutory minimum wage after increase are as follows:

Note:

  1. Region 1 covers the most economically developed and urbanized areas of Vietnam, for example, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Phong, and Da Nang.
  2. Region 2 covers areas with substantial industrial and economic development, but at a lower level than Region 1, for example, most areas of Binh Duong, Dong Nai, and Can Tho.
  3. Region 3 covers emerging industrial and agricultural areas, for example, some areas of Hai Duong, Khanh Hoa, and Long An.
  4. Region 4 covers less developed, primarily rural or agricultural regions with limited industrial activity.
