Notice on adjusting the basic medical insurance payment proportion for urban employees was jointly issued by Beijing Municipal Medical Insurance Bureau and the Beijing Municipal Finance Bureau on January 11, 2021.

To further reduce the burden of employing units, optimize the business environment and improve the medical insurance system, from January 2021, the basic medical insurance payment proportion (including maternity insurance) borne by employing units for urban employees will be reduced by 1%, from the current 10.8% to 9.8%, the payment proportion borne by employees will remain unadjusted.
