China Updated Holiday Arrangement for Labour Day in 2019 Announced

The General Office of the State Council of the PRC released the “Circular on the Holiday Arrangement for Labour Day in 2019” on 22nd March 2019, which adjusted the previous holiday arrangement for Labour Day. In accordance with this Circular, the holiday arrangement for Labour Day is from 1st May 2019 to 4th May 2019 (four days in total). 28th April 2019 (Sunday) and 5th May 2019 (Sunday) are adjusted as official working days.

According to the above Circular, the updated official holidays for year 2019 are scheduled as follows:

1. New Year's Day

From 30th December 2018 to 1st January 2019 (three days off in total).
29th December 2018 (Saturday) is adjusted as an official working days.

2. Spring Festival (Chinese New Year)

From 4th February to 10th February 2019 (seven days off in total).
2nd February 2019 (Saturday) and 3rd February 2019 (Sunday) are adjusted as official working days.

3. Qingming Festival

5th April 2019 (one day off in total).

4. Labour Day

From 1st May 2019 to 4th May 2019 (four days off in total).
28th April 2019 (Sunday) and 5th May 2019 (Sunday) are adjusted as official working days.

5. Dragon Boat Festival

7th June 2019 (one day off in total).

6. Mid-autumn Festival

13th September 2019 (one day off in total).

7. National Day

From 1st October to 7th October 2019 (seven days off in total).
29th September 2019 (Sunday) and 12th October 2019 (Saturday) are adjusted as official working days.
